More About Recording Artist Jay-A who released Pain !
Growing up, Jay-A was inspired by music from an early age. His father Peter St Patrick was an entertainer who earned respect within music circles.
A career in music was inevitable for Jay-A. “Growing up, my father was an artiste, so I fell in love with music and I decided to follow in his footsteps,” Jay-A shared. Since he embarked on his musical journey, Jay-A has experienced disappointments and he has also faced several struggles which have made him stronger and he remains resolute in pursuing his passion. “The journey has been tough, and I have faced nuff disappointments. But when you are in love with something, the struggles don’t matter,” said Jay-A. Jay-A was born Tarik Morris and is originally from Montego Bay, St James. For a time, he resided in Vineyard Town in East Kingston. He now resides in Fort Lauderdale. Asked what he brings to the table musically, he said “All I’m gonna say is, music speaks for itself. But I am just hoping that everyone can relate and be inspired.” Being real, humble, confident and patient are what Jay-A says defines him as an artiste. Jay-A has worked with several music producers including Sponge Music, DJ Frass Records, Darshan Records and Bassick Records & Iamwav. Among the songs that Jay-A has released are Hundred Dollar Bill Friend featuring Mavado, Nuttin at All and Pray for Me. His most recent single Pain featuring Mavado and Dexta Daps was released in February 2023.
