Introduction to Mad LinQz

Mad LinQz was born in the west end of Toronto, Canada, to Jamaican descendants. From an early age, she displayed a remarkable talent for music, with her first words being sung at just 9 months old when she belted out “you light up my life.” Her unique tone, combined with her powerful energy, set her apart, and people took notice of her distinct style.

A True Storyteller Through Music

As a storyteller, LinQz captures the essence of life’s complexities and daily struggles through her music. Growing up in Toronto, a city known for its diversity and challenges, she reflects on the good, bad, and indifferent aspects of life. Her songs tell the stories of everyone, from her own experiences to the broader narratives of history, making her music relatable to a wide audience.

Breakthrough Moment: Fire Starter Competition

In 2011, LinQz earned the recognition of legendary artist Capleton after winning the Royal Family “Fire Starter” competition. This achievement made her Toronto’s first original Fire Starter. As a reward, she was invited to open for Capleton during his performance on July 1, 2011.

Awards and Recognition

In 2015, LinQz’s hard work and dedication to her craft paid off when she was named Female Singer of the Year at the PEABO Awards, further solidifying her place in the music scene.

Focus on Reggae, Hip Hop, and Urban Music

LinQz is committed to showcasing the best of Reggae, Hip Hop, and urban music. As the founder of LinQz Entertainment, she is passionate about highlighting talent from both Canada and Jamaica. Her music serves as an outlet to express the real struggles and triumphs of life.

New Releases and Ongoing Projects

Mad LinQz released her impactful single “Black Lives Matter” in late 2016, produced by Keron Williams and released under Street Digital Records. She was also featured on Keron Williams’ single “What You Do To Me,” released in early 2017, marking her continued presence in the music industry.
