Producer Lee Milla of Lee Milla Productions, has landed at number 3 on the iTunes Reggae Albums Chart with the Penance Riddim.
The compilation features the Law Boss Chronic Law, a member of Squash’s 6ix Crew. Lee Milla says he is now more focused on making good music with any progressive artiste regardless of what team they are associated with.
The Penance Riddim was co-produced alongside Scotch Hot Records and released on Friday, May 5, 2023 via 21st Hapilos Digital Distribution. By early Monday afternoon (May 8), the compilation had peaked at number 3! The album consists of 6 artists and 7 songs, 14 in total as each has both explicit and radio edit versions. Chronic Law starts it off with “Revenge”, while Billboard recording artiste, Xyclone, has a track called “Waste Energy”. Female duo Kiishea, managed by Lee Milla and Levels To Life Productions, have 2 songs on the Penance Riddim, while newcomers AI Milly, Nervz and 1Kiko had their say with a song apiece. Did the producer pay his “penance” to the 6ix boss with this rhythm? Is Chronic Law seeking “revenge” against his rivals? Or is everyone done with all that “waste energy” like Xyclone? Only time will tell, especially if Penance Riddim hits number 1, which Lee Milla says is the goal.
