Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Born in St. Ann, Jamaica, King Lorenzo’s remarkable singing talent was evident from a young age. Performing at school events, sound systems, and hotels across the island under the name Parson Man, he quickly gained recognition for his pure and exceptional voice. This talent eventually captured the attention of reggae fans worldwide.

Breakthrough and Early Recordings

King Lorenzo’s big break came when he won the prestigious Red Label Reggae Cable singing competition, one of Jamaica’s most notable contests. This victory led to collaborations with Barry O’Hare on the X-Rated label. Over time, Lorenzo expanded his repertoire, recording with renowned labels such as Stone Love, Big Ship, Jet Star, Irie Ites, and Reality Sound, among others.
